Synopsis

NAKISANI “Naki” Lalumbe (33) is a functionally depressed young woman, wrestling daily with the complexities of work, relationships, and the search for meaning in her life. Despite maintaining the outward appearance of normality, she privately battles feelings of emptiness and isolation, often finding it difficult to connect with others or express her vulnerabilities. When an unexpected promotion at work coincides with the opportunity to rediscover her passion for running, Naki is propelled onto an unforeseen journey that tests her resilience and opens her to new experiences. The challenges she faces, both internal and external, force her to confront the trauma and loss that have shaped her, while also offering glimpses of hope and the possibility of genuine connection. A traumatic road accident shatters Naki’s already fragile sense of self, leaving her physically shaken and emotionally raw.
